Home Health Nurses perform an important job for patients. Many times they are called "Case Managers" by their employers, but they are not performing the same job of a Case Manager as represented by the majority of the nurses of this forum. With that said, you are applying for a job in Home Health to become a Home Health Nurse and not a Case Manager. Therefore a better forum for your post is the following:
I am going to ask the powers-that-be to move this post if possible so you can get better responses. Good luck on your interview! :)
I'd save some of your questions for after their initial job offer to you. Questions that win you the job focus on THEIR needs:
1. What skills do you look for in your nurses? (Their answer is a GIANT clue as to what parts of your resume will be of most interest to them)
2. What challenges should I expect in this job? What resources should I draw on to make sure I succeed at this job?
3. How would you describe the strengths of this agency?
Etcetera. What I'm getting at is you want to genuinely show your interest in *them.* Once they make the offer, that's a great time to get nifty gritty about pay, hours, and other benefits.

I have an interview with a home health agency next week. I don't have case management experience. What are important questions to ask. I'm making a list and came up with hours, on call requirement, number of cases, what area I would be assigned to. I also want to ask about shadowing another nurse. What advice do you have for me?
