nurse : patient ratios (average and max)? Acuity ratios in that mix?
% of holds/admits you would be responsible for, or do they have a staffed holding area? If there is a holding area, how often would you be assigned to it (can be tortuous if it is often)? What is the average time before holds get a bed?
Will there be at least a foot of hall space available so I can squeeze between the stretchers, or will I have to play shuffleboard with the hall stretchers in order to pass through ?
Will you be crossed trained for the trauma room? Or, is it the holy grail?
Wiil they offer, and pay for, certifications: ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CEN?
Will I be assigned a trained preceptor & does this preceptor receive some form of an incentive to train me?
When can I start??????
Good Luck

HILARIOUS! The hall and trauma room questions cracked me up! TOO FUNNY! Great questions.
