Ok...to start off I'm not a nurse (two more semesters of school, yay!). I am trying to get my foot in the door of the local hospital and have had no luck getting PCT/CNA jobs. I was interviewed for a unit secretary position today and I think it went really well...the manager was even commenting on how if I am hired they will be more than happy to move me to an RN position in the same department when I graduate in May. It sounds perfect.
So as far as my question, the manager did not really "interview" me in the traditional sense. I have interviewed for PCT jobs at this same hospital within the last month and the managers used a rubric and asked cliche interview questions and circled a number based on my response. Today the manager just told me what shift it was for and what I should wear, asked me general questions about nursing school, and told me what my responsibilities would be. At the end she asked me if I had any questions. It was honestly more like a chat. They also made a point of telling me that they have had upwards of 40 people apply and only chose me and 2 others to interview.
Is that a good sign? Or am I reading too much into it? Any opinions are welcome. I'm 24 and have only had one real job since I got my first (non-nursing) degree...so not much experience in the world of interviews and such.

Honestly my interview for NA was exactly the same, but be forewarned i had my interview the monday before easter time and did not hear back until the end of may. So do not loose hope.
Well that makes me feel a lot better. Hopefully it works out because I really need a job and hearing them say if I come to work there I would basically have a guaranteed RN job upon graduation is a huge weight off me. Fingers crossed!
