Here's a link to a thread created by one of the site admin's with resume, job hunting and interview tips: https://allnurses.com/nursing-career-advice/wondering-why-you-84387.html
Good luck.

When I had interviews coming up allnurses and google were my best friends! There are many topics pertaining to interview questions right here on allnurses, seriously an abundance of information. Try focusing on clinical/situational questions while searching as those require critical thinking and may stump you if you're nervous. Also of course practice the most common questions asked during an interview - doesn't necessarily have to be nursing specific.
Good luck!

I recently passed and got licensed this January. Because I wanted employment so bad, I decided to go for agency and placed in LTC. I am an IEN with 1yr experience in pediatrics ICU. I had diverse clinical experience back home as nursing student. I am doing my continuing education in Coronary Care, hoping this would be my ticket to land a job in the hospital. I am applying to other agencies so I can get an experience in the hospital but I am reluctant since I am not familiar with the hospital setting here and I don't get proper orientation if I work for agency. I know my license is always at stake. I want to be hired in a hospital which can give me a good orientation and training.

Nursing jobs are not easy to find and as an IEN with little nursing experience you are at a disadvantage to Canadian educated and trained new grads.
Get your one year of Canadian nursing experience in the LTC then start applying for hospital jobs.
i gave them my resume last week monday and i got a call this wednesday to come in for an interview but trust me it has been really difficult to get a job esp in toronto.
May i know which hospitals called you? :)
