International version of books

Has anyone bought the international version of a textbook? I'm looking at a textbook that says it is the international version, but has the same information as the US version. Is this true? It's a good price, but I'm still nervous about it.

Funny this subject has come up. I purchased Foundations in Microbiology back on July 23rd thru half.com. I have yet to receive it....It's now August 17th. When I purchased the book it was not disclosed to me that it was an international version until after I paid for it. The picture on the ad showed the 7th edition used in my class and nowhere in the ad did it discloset his. Also... the book cost $123....others are charging only $58 for the international version. I have had to go out and get a text from my bookstore at $160! I'm ticked! Figthing to get my money back from the seller. Would have been nice to be able to make my own decision about purchasing this type of book or not. I had no clue...now I do...lesson learned and the seller is about to learn one also. The seller "went on vacation" and I have emailed them 2 days ago and about to file a claim with half.com. Sorry for the rant.

What I read about this particular book is that some of the case studies are different and so are the exercises in the back.
