Hi
I was just wondering if anyone has ever done a 13 week contract in the UK? I would be grateful for any information.

There are threads about the requirements to work in the UK in the International Nursing forum, and you can find good info there. From reading some of those threads on this board, I get the impression that, at least as things stand now, it's very difficult for anyone who is not already at EU citizen to get a UK nursing license and work permit.

Moved this thread to the International Forum as it is specific to working overseas and requires license and immigration procedures.
First question: what type of nursing school did you attend in the US? If you do not hold the BSN, then you do not qualify for a license in the UK.
There are already several threads on here for the procedures that you need to go thru to get the license and you must have that before anyone can offer a job to you.
The travel assignments in the UK are not the same as the assignments in the US. They differ greatly from what we have here.
I hold a UK passport and have a BSN in the US and now am registered with the NMC as an RN . I have seen adverts for 13 week contracts in London and Scotland. I would be interested if any one has done one of these contracts. Thanks.
They do not provide the same services that are provided in the US with travel assignments.
Also, not sure where they would place you since the NHS is having so many lay-offs at this time. And when a facility is having lay-offs because of no money to pay staff, how is the facility able to pay for the travel nurse?
We have seen a few post here about them, but they are not the same as here and they market themselves as such. So far, have not come across one that I would recommend to anyone, do not like what I have seen on the websites of the ones that I have seen.
