Hi I am Tania

I live in newyork as a foreign student . I passed the nclex recently. I took opt. I am looking for a job and a sponsor . I desire to get a green card as quickly as possible. I haven't been to my country for many years. Any suggestions please? Is there any nurses who obtained green card who came as nursing student? Any advices greatly appreciated

Thank you

What country are you from? You are aware NY is a hard place to find a sponsor? Also if you are not working on opt yet be aware that you have a timeframe to start working before opt is revoked.

GC is not quick to get and you may have to consider option on maintaining student visa full time or leave the US

Thank you so much for the response. I am.from india. I am ready to move any other states if it is possible get a spnosor. Any suggestions

Where you born in India? If so then there is a 12 year wait for green card so finding employer willing to wait that long is going to be very difficult. Just finding a sponsor will not give you permission to stay in the US.

You are going to have to consider moving home or to another country but do not overstay in the US and make sure you are employed on opt soon or you will go into overstay unless you resume full time study

U visa tended to be the popular visa last time I checked to stay in USA. Do some research
