Hi,
This is my first post.
MY QUESTION
I'm thinking of going to australia to do a Bach.degree in nursing.
How is the job market for fresh MALE graduates (international students who have studied in Australia) ?
How long does the registration process take with the state registration board after the completion of the course.
Can color blind people become(eligible) nurses?
Thanks

Depends on how fresh the males are:p
We usually have a nursing shortage but that is more acute in mid-year than at the end of the year when most of the universities finish.
Pretty much straight away - there is no external examination like the USA.

I have no idea. It would, I think depend on your degree and type of colour blindness. We do have equal opportunity legislation governing most employment particularly in the goverment sector.

Absolutely - I currently work with two colour-blind nurses. The only issues are with pH and urinalysis testing and (I guess) ensuring that when a patient vomits you know if it's green bile or red blood (depending on the colurs you're blind for).
Good luck!
