Phil nurse inquiring about NZ & AUS application

Good day! Thank God for this website. To the moderators and the people who keep this site up and running, I give you my utmost appreciation. There are only a handful of websites for nurses globally that is as helpful as this one.

Anyway, I would like to apply for work in NZ or Australia. However, my friend who applied to NZ already says that he needed to shell out almost 200,000 pesos for it. Is it really that expensive? How about working in Australia? How do I apply for that? Do they accept people with less than a year of clinical experience?

Any reply would be much appreciated! Thanks!

I think you could not apply as a Registered Nurse either in NZ nor Australia. As a matter of Fact, they require you to have atleast 1 year WORKING experience and volunteer and training work is not accepted.

correct me i got it wrong. so even after the bridging "training", new nursing grad will not be eligible for registration UNLESS they have one year for paid nursing work experience? thanks.

That is correct. They actually will not even permit you to take the bridging program until you meet their requirements of passing the local exam and having paid working experience, not as in a training program. from the Philippines They do not accept it, nor do most other countries. It is considered a training program and nothing more, and even to top it off, one has to pay for it. So considered purely training.
