NY BON processing time

How long is the processing time for NY BON? Do I need to have my fingerprints taken? Thanks.

You do not need fingerprints. Depending on how long that it takes your school to reply with your trnacripts, etc., time can be as short as 2 months. :) But it can also be longer, they need to have a completed file from CGFNS before processing your application.

I just passed the Philippine licensure exam for nurses and I can only get my certificate of registration after my oath taking in August. You said in one of the threads that I only have to send form 1 when applying in NY and the rest will be coming from CGFNS. A friend of mine told me that I have to send the CGFNS-CVS application form to CGFNS and CGFNS will be the one who will send my request to my school for my transcsripts and my request for validation of license to the BON here in the Philippines. Is this true? Thanks. :)

You need to fill in only the one page for NY, and then the two applications for CGFNS. One for Visa Screen Certificate and one for the Special Credentials Verification for NY. CGFNS will obtain all of your needed documents for you, you only need to sign releases for that. (The NY BON application actually has five parts but you only need the one page if you are a foreign grad.)

I guess that you did not read my sticky at the top of the forum about NY. :)
