how to apply for Global scholarship Alliance.

Dear friends I was so excited when I read about Global scholarship alliance. But when I looked in threads of all nurses, I found they are quite old. I even tried to apply myself but they didnt reply. Can any body who has applied before guide how to apply?

A real and true scholarship does not have to be repaid back, this Global Scholarship Alliance is playing on the word "scholarship" which it is NOT, it's a high interest rate LOAN.

This is a LOAN that will need to be repaid back over time, usually for many years, at an interest cost that will exceed many times over what you will initially BORROW, whether or not, you get a job or not.

This is very misleading and deceptive to say the least.

Oh God I'm really upset. I' be done 3 years of diploma in nursing and nclex as well. Now I want to either study Bachelor in nursing or to work in US. Can u guys plz help me? I'm in dilemma! What to do?

Plus it was a "scholarship" to study in the US but not a work opportunity. It was to obtain a US education but return to your home country to work and live post graduation.

No its OK if I get scholarship to study and even return back at least I can gain education and utilize my nclex.

Because I tried to contact some recruiters online and they say either I don't have experience in US or I don't have priority date?So it would be great if I get scholarship to study in US.

You don't utilize an NCLEX. NCLEX is the US national exam that determines if a candidate meets entry to practice qualifications to earn a license to practice as a licensed practical nurse (NCLEX-PN) or registered nurse (NCLEX-RN). Passing the NCLEX is not a guarantee of licensing as a nurse as there are other qualifications that must be met.

Like previously explained this is not a traditional scholarship program whereas you earn a financial award that is utilized to pay for tuition, fees, sometimes books, room & board to study a particular course. Its not common for scholarships to be awarded to attend schools in the US. Nursing programs are highly competitive in the United States, with seeking to accept the most qualified candidates for the limited slots in the programs whether diploma, associates, bachelors or masters programs. Many US nursing programs admissions standards have a minimum GPA of 3.0, but in reality the accepted students often have a GPA averaging 3.5-4.0. State and county public schools are often obligated to give preferential acceptance to local residents and may or may not accept international candidates. You would be required to have your credentials assessed by an educational agency (some schools accept CGFNS, most prefer WES (World Education Services) to determine if previous education is equivalent to meet or exceed the standards of local schools standards.

I fully understand your desire to further your education and would like to travel to the US. But in order to get the F1 student visa, even with a scholarship, you need to prove you have sufficient financial resources to cover tuition/books/fees (in case your scholarship fails to provide sufficient funds), living expenses (room, board, meals), medical expenses, and incidentals for your entire stay as a student in the US.

Perhaps if you have a nursing license issued by a specific state board of nursing, consider checking the nursing schools in that state (generally all nursing schools are listed on the state board of nursing website) to see if 1. they accept international students, and 2. if they have any scholarship opportunities that would help finance an overseas education. (Not all nursing programs just like not all US schools accept international students or participate in the F1 sudent visa program)

A priority date is issued once a job offer is received and the potential employer files paperwork to start processing for an employment based visa. The date your application is accepted by USCIS is the priority date. Retrogression is the wait time to be accepted for a green card or EB visa. The wait is anywhere from 1-15 or more years depending on the visa type and your country of birth. The USCIS updates with a visa bulletin on a monthly basis.

There is not a need for internationally educated nurses who have no paid nursing experience especially those without experience in a specialized area (critical care, operating room, NICU, etc)
