International Nurse needing some orientation

Hello guys,

I am trying to get my license to work in New York StatePassed my NCLEX-RN exam last 2nd September and I am now applying for the VisaScreenC trough the CGFNS. My question is what should I do after?

I would like to find a job without using a recruitment agency because some of them are not very transparent. Any advice?

I have 10 yrs experience. do you think my previous experiene will be recognised?

try searching for Workforce1. I just got my 1st job as an RN in NY Through them

Just one more question. Do you have any idea if they recognise previous experience from oversea nurses or should we start from the bottom as a newly qualified nurse as I've been told by an recruitment agency. (Which is quite unfair as they get a skilled nurse and they pay him as a new qualified)

I could be wrong but I met couple of agency recruiters and accdng to them experience from foreign countries are most of the time counted. but then again we are termed newly grad RNs

Piece of advise dont t get involve with agenies try the hosp/long term facilities career sites to apply and try that workforce1
