International graduate seeking advice for applying nclex

Published

Greetings everyone , may the Lord bless us all.

I'm a nurse from indonesia since 2007 and I'm planning to take nclex in California state. I need advice on applying for nclex :

1.Diploma

specifically on international break down and transcript. Can anybody share info on this, is there any minimal hours on all the subject? Any tips ?

I have a 3 years diploma and a bachelor degree in nursing , can i use them both and add the hours instead of just one in my application so the hours would be sufficient?

Any indonesians that recently take this test? All info regarding this are much appreciated.

2. Toefl

I speak Indonesian and english but it is a bit rusty in grammar i must admit . I presume there will be writing on the exam so is there any institute that give free toefl course and or exam (long shot but fingers crossed).

3. Translator

Is there any ATA approved translator near San Bernardino, where do you translate your documents ? What are all the documents that you translated? How much did you have to spend?

Any info on the process to get the eligible to take is kindly appreciated, thank you. My email is [email protected] , feel free to add me in fb , ibastoto .Thank you so much, God bless you all.

Ps : got my ead(working permit) allready and waiting for my ssn in two weeks.

Hi, I applied RN to California 6 years ago and California nursing board suggest me to go to nursing school to have another med-surg class.

California nursing board is strict to process.

I applied to New York board this January, and waiting for the ATT now.

My plan is pass to the NY NCLEX and endorse to California then.

Specializes in Medical and general practice now LTC.

Endorsing will not change anything with California

I was told that you should have a minimum of 40 h in theoretical instruction and 80 h in clinical practice in each specialty.

You can't mix the two to make sure you have enough hours. You should have your BSN evaluated as such.

3. Translator

What are all the documents that you translated?

I had my degree diploma and transcript translated as well as secondary school documents.

i see, thank you for the advise....i'm on a very tight budget, don't think i can pull that off....best of luck for you bud...cheers
