Hi all,
Can somebody help me with some informations...... I am an RN from another country living in Canada with no chances to write again tre CRNE(I don't have the baccalaureat degree in nursing - I have Diploma from Medical College), can I write the NCLEX exam, or where should I call, is there an agency or someone who know something about this ?

Which country did you train in? Some Diplomas are accepted if they are equivalent in clinical hours and theory to the US curriculum, and the training you receive makes you a "professional" nurse in your country, and what they call First Level.
You have two ways to check.....the cheapest way would be to apply to California Board of Nursing and see what they say when they review your transcripts since they do their own evaluation. The other route is to have your credentials evaluated by CGFNS. Either way, you are still going to have to go thru CGFNS, if for nothing more than the Visa Screen Certificate.
I still think that if you trained overseas and are currently in Canada, the easiest route would be to do the Credentials Evaluation for New York, offered by CGFNS, as they will obtain all of your documents for you. If they tell you that your schooling is accepted, then send in the application to NY Board of Nursing, and for the Visa Screen. NY offers a "hard" license when you pass the NCLEX exam, then you can endorse to another state. California will not issue you a license until you actually have a Social Security Number. This can be a problem if you decide to endore to another state before getting your SSN#. You can't.
Please let me know if I can offer more help............ :balloons:
Thanks for reply ... I am from Romania , I have a file at CNO , and I wrote 2 CRNE exams but I fail , and I want to work in medical field ... I was an Operating Room Technician for 9 years ....... here I'm working as a HCA or PSW ...
I suggest that you follow what I wrote above. It is the only way to know if your credentials will be accepted.............
Chances are that if Canada accepted them, so will the US.. :)
