Starting at ICHS in October 2024, I will be taking my APA exam soon. Does anyone have tips on what to study/what to expect?

They don't! You will go to Florida for Clinicals and it is all out of your pocket.

Welcome to probably the worse experience of your life.

I was just amused on how many lvn from california are signing up to this. I was beginning to think t was like what they do on YouTube: they buy likes so a lot of people get drawn to it.

Because they ran out of options and this was the last resort. It is not worth the money.

last resort is west coast university. pay airfare, rent there just for clinicals, then come back is way worse than going to west coast univ.

Pretty much. They are not a good school at all. Only about you paying them to offer you nothing. Students are basically told "We give you the material and you teach yourself". Staff are good at ridiculing the students. Many are learning that it is a business to make money. Failure rate is high especially with the ASN program. I regret enrolling in the school because it is alot of money wasted to get bare minimum.

I know all about WCU. Don't know ow about spoon fed they are expensive as hell. They have a nice simulation area though.  We don't get that at this school. Alot of old equipment unfortunately.

Hey all,

My name is Tye. I just looked into this school a month ago and had a brief info session over the phone. I'm from So Cal. Currently taking a medical terminology course. Looking to start the RN program in Feb If anyone has details on the APA exam im interested in taking that when before the Feb program start. I would really appreciate it. You can email me direct [email protected]. Thank you in advance

I'm wondering if anyone can give insight on what the classwork/ homework load is like and what the requirements are for graduating at this school? I'm looking at another accelerated online program in FL and reading horror stories about people not passing and how mean the instructors are.

This school is no different. They make it hard to pass, students are treated like crap. Disrespect is at an all time high at the moment.

Coursework is alot. Assignments due the end of each week. You can work but many end up reducing hours to minimum because the work load makes it hard to stay caught up. 2 classes with a ton of work.  It gets overwhelming but if you don't mind getting less sleep you can pull it off.

The way the school is currently, I would not recommend to my worse enemy. Unfortunately I am stuck because my tuition is paid for but if I had the choice, I would have left a long time ago and stuck with a local college.

This school is not worth the mental and health wellness.

Honestly, I think if you keep up with the homework modules you'll be OK. However, there are weeks where there are tons of homework for both class. I strictly decrease me working hours to part time to do hw. So far the quizzes are basic, but I cannot say it'll get any easier as time goes by. We just need to focus and aim high. You'll need to reflect on how much you can handle, if you feel like you can take the challenge then do it. You'll be done sooner than later.

In nursing core, no exam or quizzes are basic unless it's ore reqs.
