International CBC

I’ve been lurking here for a while and have been reading the threads. Main takeaway has been speak to the BON, call a lawyer. 
 

I plan on taking my pre requisites this fall to apply for nursing school next year. 
 

Long story short, original from UK, charged at 17 with assault to injury (punched someone in the face, causing their nose to bleed) 

Now 14 years on I live in the US now and have always wanted to become a nurse. 
Last week I contacted the BON, no reply. Also contacted the school I want to go to, no reply. 

Obviously all my checks in the US will be clear but I would never lie or try to hide anything.

I don’t know what to do, feel like I’m just wasting my time. I don’t want to spend $3k getting the pre-reqs to be automatically disqualified.

Thanks for any help, even if it’s just advice like ‘find a different career’
