Good morning everyone and Happy Mother's Day... :balloons: I need a little advice. I'm currently an LPN student and my husband and I are looking to move to Northern NJ in the next year or so. I'd like to know what the prospects are for LPNs and RNs in this area. I plan to pursue my RN immediately upon graduating from my current program (due to various reasons I couldn't take that route directly). Any and all advice is greatly appreciated. Thank you all and I do hope you enjoy your day (I'm at work...but that's ok...I'm getting some homework done :) .

The prospect for nursing in Northern NJ are very good, I live in Northern NJ and all of the hospitals have a lot of openings. There are many hospitals in the area and many nursing homes. I am currently a nursing student but I work for a hospital system so I see the job postings all the time, and there are many positions available. The benefits are pretty good at pretty much all of the hospitals and I have heard the staffing issues are not too bad because hospitals in this area are willing to take in agency nurses to fill the gaps. Good luck!! Get ready for some crazy drivers and crowded malls! :)
Thank you so much for responding. That info is very encouraging. One question...do the hospitals hire LPNs?

I am pretty sure most hospitals hire LPNs
