Hi,

Check out the LPN student forum here for some interesting reading. I didn't think the material was difficult. There was a ton of it and you really need to stay on top of your readings and studying however. Since I was older and established in my previous career the whole culture shock and politics that is nursing school was kind of disconcerting at first for me but I learned very quickly to 'know how high' when they said jump. :) Over all getting my LPN license was one of the best things I ever did. Good luck to you.

Thank You for your Advice!

*Is there any way i can get a syllabus for LPN?You know i want to know what are the course going to be like.Getting excited.

*Last week i went to one clinic to apply for CNA Training, they said after one year of service in their clinic they gonna provide me a LPN tuition fees.I do not know do i need to take this course to become an LPN or it's ok without CNA course?

*My other question is is it right for me to take straight LPN course by my self or with this Nursing Home Help?Iam quite confused.

Please give me an advice!!!

I no longer have my syllabus, but you will be taking anatomy/physiology, nutrition, dosage calculations, pharmacology, fundamentals of nursing, psych nursing, pediatrics and OB. There are plenty of used books sold by Amazon.com for LPNs. Some schools require that the students take the CNA course, others don't. It will make you more confident in basic patient care, such as bathing, vital signs, seeing patients disrobed, seeing them afraid, etc...it would expose you to the many interpersonal skills that are needed to work with patients. However, I have also seen many successful nurses that had no CNA training. At least, though, it would get you in the door, and if they are offering tuition assistance to become an LPN, then, I would take the training. In addition, the training can be used to work elsewhere if you choose it to.

Hello pagandeva2000,

Thank You so much for your Advice. You mean even if i do not enroll as LPN i can still find a job.I am feeling i am lost, because i did my Bachelor Degree and now going to do CNA...SO KINDA lost and worried.I do not want to waste time.

I saw a demand in Nursing field here in United States.

Thank You!
