thank you!!! any advice on which hospitals treat their nurses well in southern fl?i studied doing questions everyday from kaplan and this book called exam cram.
my suggestion is to do as many questions as you can!
i'm using the same materials and this will be my 2nd attempt, hopefully everything goes well. so far i've been getting >70% on most of my practice exams. as for hospitals i'm not sure, they are hard to hire new nurses but apply to every open position that's available. i have classmates who were looking for 2 months and eventually got a job because a hospital decided to give them a chance. you have to have a great resume that showcase your clinical skills and experience, also make sure you sell yourself when you do get a call. good luck and apply everywhere from palm beach, broward to miami if you don't mind the drive.
and the goal now is to get a position so you can get experience and move on to something better. if you know someone in the field don't hesitate to ask for a hook up even if it's not where you want to be, do it for 6 months to a year and that will make your resume even better for your dream position.
