Input on Chamberlain BSN in Phoenix, AZ

Published

Hi everyone! I am brand new to This site. I am currently looking into starting the BSN program at Chamberlain in Phoenix, AZ in September. Does anyone have any input on this program? I have all my pre reqs done and actually already have my LPN license. I am just wondering if this is as great of a school as I gathered from the advisor I spoke with?! And do they have a good reputation with local hospitals when it comes to hiring? Any input would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance!

The biggest drawback to Chamberlain anywhere is the price tag! Have you looked into an LPN-RN program, maybe at your community college? That would be a faster and much less expensive alternative, and you can do an RN-BSN completion at a later time. Just food for thought. :) I did Chamberlain's RN-BSN online, and it was fantastic. I think Chamberlain is a great school, but just soooooo expensive.

I'm in the exact same boat and was looking at Chamberlain, too in Phoenix. I'm going to the open house on the 26th. I hear its a good school, but yeah the price tag...but it could be worth it. I'll make my decision after the open house. Good luck to you!

I go there and love it! Definitely worth it in the fact I will have my BSN before many people who are on the wait list for community colleges get in at all! Plus chamberlain has the exact same accreditation as schools like ASU GCU MCC etc... A lot of other nursing schools (such as one in particular that starts with a B and is close to chamberlain don't) that's why they lie and try and give you other incentives.

Here is a list of schools az that are able to sit for the nCLEX upon completion. What you need to make sure you are looking for is that they are accredited by a higher learning accreditation as well as being regional because then schools like asu will accept transfer credits I'm case you want to further your education.

Any questions about classes teachers or Clinicals let me know :) I'm in adult Heath II right now expected to be done September 2014

The last thing I wanted to add is that it is well worth the money. All often clinical instructors have agreed and they are honestly non biased.

Many hospitals like some Banners and Mayo are magnet facilities so they are beginning to transition to only hiring BSN nurses. I work at one of those as a nursing assistant ( I won't say which one) but all of the associate degree nurses that were just hired are being required to enroll in a BSN program within an allotted time period. Plus the wait list in the community colleges is getting up to 3+ years. All my instructors who have offered axing advice (and have our best interest at heart) tell me that by the time you graduate, rather then sitting on a wait list you will make it all back, and there are SOOO many places that will hire you as a BSN nurse and pay back your loans while you work for them. Look them up. My teacher told em about one that pays back portions ofyour loans if you work for an at risk population such as geriatrics or an intercity hospital for a specific amount of time.

I recently got accepted to their BSN program at Chamberlain College Phoenix campus for Sept 2 start date, and am also wondering if anyone has any insight on how the proram is there. Is it difficult, how are the classes like? I will be starting with Nr101 and Nr222 are there many papers and projects involved? Any advice/insignt would be helpful, Thanks =)

Hey I'm at the Atlanta campus and I am getting ready to start clinical for fundamentals for the next session. Is there any advice you can give me and tips?
