INPRP completion anyone?

Nurses Recovery

Anyone with RMA completion experience in IN? In the last year or so? My completion date is supposed to be 10/12. I turned in all the required documentation on 10/4, but haven't heard anything, other than "we'll let you know when we've completed your file review". Wondering what the process is... do they message you on the last day with a letter of completion, and you're done? Seems awfully anticlimactic LOL, although that's definitely preferred to something along the lines of "well... we'd like you to do another 6 months" Although I'd hope that an extension isn't common, and that they wouldn't surprise you with that on the last day ? Any input on others experience is appreciated!

I had to be pushier than I felt I needed to be, and eventually contact the program director, who confirmed I was eligible for completion and I got the completion letter within the hour.  This was not in the last year or so, it was before they changed program provider.

My suggestion is to keep checking in, don't imbibe in anything that might show up on testing. Wait until you get that completion letter and follow that up with "So, I have completed this and no longer have to check in or be available for testing with Affinity?". Also, if your license was suspended/put on probation, make sure you contact the Board to make sure they receive your completion letter and if you have an attorney, make sure they contact the Board to see about getting the suspension/probation lifted.

Good luck. You've got this.

Thanks! Yea, I won't even feel like celebrating until it's official. I'll continue on just exactly as I have for 3 years now, with my head down. I do feel like IPRP has been better than what I heard about ISNAP, and honestly I've had no feelings of being treated unfairly or unethically.  No experiences like yours thus far. I'm just hoping if they have any concern with a participant being eligible for completion on time, they wouldn't Spring that on you last minute. I would like to think there would be some warning. It's just hard when you're this damn close, and yet you also just don't know until they finally say OK. I'm very tired of my life being hold & beyond ready to move past this. Thanks again!

I wouldn't think they'd Spring that on you the last minute. Usually if something's wrong you'd have been notice. This close to your contract end date, I'd say that you're probably OK if you've followed instructions and handed in everything you've been told to.

Keep walking. You're getting closer every day. You got this.

Just wanted to update this post, in case others from IN come looking for completion process info. About 2 weeks prior to my end date (Oct 12, although I thought they would keep me until Nov 14, as that's the 1st date I checked in, 3 years prior) my CM contacted me and asked for a detailed "recovery plan." If you have a sponsor, therapist, or work site monitor, they have to also submit letters of support for your completion. After submitting my plan, I didn't hear anything until literally the morning of the 12th. That's why I posted this topic in the 1st place, because in the absence of any info, I started worrying that they were going to ask me to extend. It's hard not to get a little crazy paranoid when you're sooo close to it all being over!! My CM ended up sending me very nice message Tues am, along with my letter of completion. And that was it! I was deleted from Affinity in less than 24 hours, and couldn't have checked in the following morning had I wanted to. It truly was all very anti-climactic, and still feels a bit surreal to be done. I'll also tell you my 3 years didn't go absolutely perfectly, so don't worry if you have a few bumps along the way. At least with IPRP, I did feel that I was always treated respectfully, and they listened to me. Based on what I've heard about some of the other states programs, I'm glad to have done this in IN. I'm not on here very often, but will try to check back periodically, in case anyone has any IN specific questions. Hang in there, if you're reading this. In the beginning, I thought 3 years sounded like FOREVER. But just like anything, before you know it you're halfway done, and then suddenly counting down the days. If you have to do this, at least IPRP is as fair and ethical of a program as you can get.
