I have been at my job for 15 yrs -- CNA, Unit Secretary, floor nurse who floated everywhere and did every shift possible, became charge nurse, total joint educator and now case mgr for a med/surg floor of 21 beds of the most complex patients ever...
I received an offer from a popular insurance company office branch near my home. I would be managing and directing a group of 'care coordinators' in a population health setting. It's a new company that's only 2 yrs old. A doctor who I work with at the hospital referred me for this position. I'm torn & don't know what to choose.

I currently do case management for a large insurance company. In my situation, another pro is the fact that I work from a home-based office and see clients as needed. It sure beats the typical 9 to 5 gig in hospital case management.

How do you like working from home, is at all from home, besides going in the field ro see the pts? Is it UR or case and disease mgmt?
Since I'm new to working at home, I'm going to need to become more disciplined with a set wake-up time and a routine. Otherwise, it is easy to fritter away the day.
I do case & disease mgmt. With the exception of the field visits, I do the vast majority of my work from my home office, a.k.a. laptop. Since I'm new to working at home, I'm going to need to become more disciplined with a set wake-up time and a routine. Otherwise, it is easy to fritter away the day.
Do you mind inboxing me the company your working with? I'm looking at making this transition but want to find out more information first. Thank you, KBM
