Info about Australian Nursesworking in Calgary Hospitals in Canada

Hi :)

I am a nursing student right now, however my dream is to move to Canada in the next few years after graduating and eventually work back in Calgary. My partner is Canadian and we would like to see this happen after getting more experience in Australia before heading back to Calgary.

I just wanted to know if there are any nurses on this forum who have worked for any of Calgary's or any of the Canadian hospitals, if they can share any advice as to what I should need to know, what to expect to prepare me for a succesful nursing career?

I'd try the Canadian forum you might find an Aussie who is already over there!!

I don't know any Aussies there, but I do have a few Canadian friends there. Calgary has a pretty good reputation as far as opportunities for experienced and inexperienced nurses. (Foothills hospital has a great reputation in particular).

Yeah, I know of Foothills Hospital. That is one of the hospitals I am considering to work for one day soon in the future.
