Indiana 2016 Pay rates RN and LPN

Been looking for new grad LPN and RN pay rates but there aren't any recent ones. Im hearing a lot of chatter of how LPN's in long term care are getting paid more then RN's in hospitals which does't surprise me. So if you guys have any knowledge can you please share? I know St. V new grad pay is 24/hr with 12% shift diff for nights and weekends.

$24 is the base new grad pay for all local hospitals in the Indianapolis area right now. No LPN I know makes more than that in LTC, but I truly don't discuss pay rates with my friends. To me, it's tacky.

Your best bet is to talk directly to HR depts and recruiting managers in the area and not listen to rumors.

Lpn's that my wife knows make between $14-$18 an hour in long term care. She makes $28.50 after almost 3 years. Hope this info helps.

I have seen paycheck stubbs so it's definitely not rumors some LPN's are making 25 to 26.

A few in Franklin and a few in Indianapolis. Mainly south side Indianapolis I believe. I only know one rn that works in a hospital and I think he's doing $29. He just started. I can not be certain on that though. He might be a tad more. I just think I remember $29. Sorry I don't any other info for ya.

Are you saying that new grad LPNs at that nursing home are making $25-26/ hr or are you referring to an LPN that has worked there since they were a new grad and now they are slightly younger than the residents?

I just had a friend get hired making $25/hr as a LPN. I don't know how many years experience she has but she gets a lot of nice perks as well. I have wondered about this as well!
