Tweet sorry about the insomnia

NJ22 hope you have good weather for camping

Dianah that is still pretty hot

Stars hope the rest of the day was quiet after his crabbing

Ado heat and lots of mosquitoes sound unpleasant

Yesterday turned out to be a good day at work despite 2 people on our team being off.  Thankfully I did not have much to do myself so I was able to manage the additional work

After work was fairly quiet, stayed in and exercised.  Although it was not quiet at night with all of the fireworks.  Should have put in my earplugs sooner, trying to fall asleep with all of that racket was difficult, but I did get to sleep

Today will be off early bird watching, after getting some coffee.  Did some cooking for breakfast, and will do some more for lunch.  Will try to get out on my bike although it will be nearly 90 today

Thankfully the rain has stopped.  Grass looks a lot better now

Hello all!  Not much to report from here.  Slept awful, same old same old.  This too shall pass.

Tweety, I just read an article in GQ Sports about Jason Belmonte, two-handed bowler: "The Man Who Broke Bowling"!  Interesting!

Joe, what didja cook?

Have a good (and safe) Fourth of July!

It is very humid and muggy, at 94 degrees. I fed the birds with what seeds I had left, and refreshed the water for them.

Last night we had a lot of booms and other lighter sounding cracklings of fireworks, but it was over with by midnight. Hubby says there's a guy up the road who sets heavy-duty fireworks (M-80's?) underneath an anvil, and it makes a tremendous booming when he sets them off, sending the anvil flying up into the air.... But being as it is the 4th, so I'm sure there will be plenty more noise tonight.

Got up late because I went to bed very late (like, EARLY). Now Nannie is up, and guess where hubby went? Up to bed because he 'barely slept' last night!

We won the ballgame last night, and there is another game tonight. I will probably do another small load of laundry. Nannie's damp bed-linens have been folded back for the wet spots to be exposed to the ceiling fan set on high. I'll be durned if I'll wash her sheets and blankets EVERY day! But I do have 'spotted' tops to be treated with gel on the grease spots. No big deal.

Joe, I can't imagine bicycling on 90+ degree weather. I know I did when I was a kid; we rode our bikes EVERYWHERE! But I am no Spring chicken anymore, and the roads here don't lend themselves to bicyclists.

The neighbor is mowing our lawn again. Guess I'll have to scrounge up some $$ to pay him.

All for now~

91° today at 53% humidity. The coolers are packed. Hubs has gone to get the boat ready and the boys and I will join him about 5:00. The sitter is here to watch Gma even though the boys and I will be here a few more minutes. We are watching Mrs. Doubtfire. Twin A went to work but had the option of going home early so he got home a little but ago.

Ah, we just got to the campground. It's near the salt water but with a few trees. It's 80 degrees, 35% humidity, leaving was its usual chaos, and I was just chirped at about closing doors, but I'm on vacation!

Ahhhhhh, what a NICE feeling!  The weather sounds nice, and just to be AWAY is good!  Enjoy your trip!  (and remember: you are on VACATION!!)

I got gas in the car, then got a few items at the grocery store (so I can make meals the next couple days), and picked up two taco salads for us, for tonight.  Then when I got home, watched the last half of Born Yesterday, with Billie Holliday.  Such a good movie!  And she does a great job in it.  I also enjoyed seeing her in Adam's Rib, starring Katherine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy -- another stellar movie!

Happy Fourth!

Guess how many times tonight have we had to explain all the noise banging,  cracking and booming outdoors?

To the point where I said with great exasperation: "IT'S CRIER FACKERS!??????

My sister wanted to know if Nannie understood what I was saying. I said yes, she did. But, after explaining "Fire-Crackers" 6x in 15 minutes, my mush mouth got the better of me. I thought it was pretty darn funny.

Long day and I'll talk more about that later ? but for now I share a pic that Twin A snapped. Happy Independence Day!
