Hi "allnurses"
I was pursuing my nursing diploma (3year course) in India. I completed 2 years of the course, but could not complete the third year since I had to immigrate to the usa. Could anybody tell me if I could apply for lvn licence since I have completed 2 years.? The third year studies are exclusively for midwifery. That means I have completed other parts of the course, including med.surg , pharmacy and so on.
please help me with this.
thanks.

Look on www.youroklahoma.com/nursing and, if you cannot find what you need, call the Licensing Contact phone number on the website. Good luck.

You will need to have a detail of your curriculum submitted to the Board of Nursing for your state and see if it is accepted. Midwifery is a rotation that they do in the LPN program in the US, not to the full extent that you do it in an RN program, but it is there.
