Hey guys,
i took nclex-rn this earlier today and passed in 75 questions! Yay! However, after checking my state board site, it says my license is inactive!? The RN license and # are there, but inactive. I called the board and they aren't sure why but said it should be cleared up soon. Has anyone ever had this happen to them right after taking nclex!?

Part of the NCLEX process is to score the exam twice- once immediately after you finish and once the following day. If you've only taken NCLEX this morning, then that second scoring hasn't happened. And are you sure it's an RN license and not a GN permit? Once you've taken NCLEX, that GN permit is inactive because you've either passed and get an RN license or failed and can't practice as a graduate nurse anymore.
Yes, it's not the temporary permit, it is the actual RN license

I would be shocked if the BON had received your results, processed your application, and updated their website within hours of your exam, on a Saturday. I'm guessing that you may automatically be assigned a license number when your results are submitted, but the license doesn't activate until the BON finishes finalizing and review your application, which can take several weeks in some states.
I took it yesterday, on a Friday, with 2 other classmates. The BON updated our info within 2.5 hours. We all passed, except mine says inactive. I called and they said it was probably a glitch in their system, but it's still aggravating!
