I got accepted into fall 2011 nursing program. Lucky me they added the required positive mmr titer. I have positive measles and rubella but my mumps is negative. So now I need the vaccine and another titer to prove positive, however I'm pregnant and my dr will not give me that vaccine. I have tried reaching someone from the program but no answer. I feel helpless like they won't clear me to start, I got a scholarship and a grant for this year also I'm so sad and nervous and stressed

Have them pull your titres again. I've had a positive and negative titre within a month of each other.
Your doctor's note should be adequate, especially if you can prove when you last had the vaccine. At our school pregnancy exempts you from the required vaccines as long as you start them up after you deliver.
I really hope you are right, thank you for that spark of hope :)
I agree, pregnancy should exempt you, at least until you deliver.

When I had my titers done they actually did two different titers on the lab report. One was a quick titer which showed I had no immunity, but the other one they did a 10-14 day test and my immunity showed up. I know these aren't the correct medical terms but I know they did two different tests on the titers. To get the proof of immunity they had to use a longer test/method I guess. Maybe that would work in your situation. If another titer comes back negative usually you can get a waiver until after you have delivered your baby. If no one answers at the programs office, then I would go there to talk to them personally about it, to see what the options are. HTH
