I recommend Orlando Health (Winne Palmer). It's a baby factory, however. Florida Hospital is in the process of opening a brand new wing of any and everything baby/kid related. Very impressive and I know they're looking to staff. Pay rates...no idea.

If I were you then I'd stay North (Sanford, Lake Mary, Maitland, Altamonte Springs), East (Waterford Lakes/UCF area, Oviedo), downtown (Delaney Park, Audubon Park, College Park, Baldwin Park, nothing west of I-4) and South (I don't like South Orlando). MetroWest used to be a nice area, but it's too close to high crime and inevitably, the criminal element spills over seeking people in MetroWest to prey on so I recommend against moving there.

Just out of curiosity, why dont you want to settle for Miami. Whats wrong with Miami ?

I personally like west Orlando, Clermont, Winter Garden. Nice and the traffic is not as bad out there as altamonte, east side

OH and by the way there are no L & D jobs posted right now at Winnie Palmer, only 2 level 3 RN's

no its not that i love Miami! i just want a nice home the houses are different there vs in Orlando. if i find what im looking for in a home in Miami that wont be a problem, if not i know i will get what i want in Orlando. so im really basing my move on my house search.

When I go to Orlando Health's career section of the website and go to the drop-down box, Winnie Palmer is not even listed as a choice. Is that possibly a website error, or are there no job openings there right now?

I definitely recommend Oviedo. Close to everything and safe. I have 3 children as well. Apartments can be pricey but your moving at a great time and can find lots of apartments/houses cheap right now. Plus, they're offering lots of deals and insentives.

Florida Hospital would love to have you. Currently there is a 10K sign on now. ORMC has had a hiring freeze for the last 3 or 4 months. We are remodeling and will soon be The Disney Childrens Hospital at Florida Hospital
