Hello to allnurses! I am in MAJOR need of a study method/materials in order to help me pass my adult gerontological CNS exam! I have now taken it 2 times and get really frustrated bc I don't know what I got wrong or how to fix what I am doing to not pass!! I have the momometrix book and flashacards and I recently bought the 2500 review questions (which didn't seem helpful).
I really want my third time to be the charm ☘ï¸
Thank you so much,
Abby

I'm so sorry you are having such a hard time. I passed the adult CNS exam way back in 2006 and even the peds exam I did in 2011 so I don't have any recent experience.
However, do you remember the little spiral bound book about the three spheres of the CNS scope? That is what I used in conjunction with Mometrix
I do still have that. Thank you! I will look at that tomorrow.
Good luck - let us know how you do!!

I used the NP books for my review. You many want to get Leik or Fitzgerald for clinical content and use your Hamric for the CNS piece. I passed adult acute CNS on the first try. Also, go to the ANCC website and look at their resources. I hope this helps. Have you logged onto facebook? There is a CNS support group for boards.

I am looking for some CNS Adult study material if anyone has any. I plan on taking the exam by October before it is retired ..HELP
would love to borrow or purchase material from anyone please
If anyone has any study material for Adult CNS please email me as well to [email protected]
Hey what do you mean by "retired"? I have the mometrix book but I don't think that was very helpful.
Well unfortunately I took it for the third time and still didn't pass. I am so deflated and have no clue what to do for reviewing because I started studying/reviewing three months prior to my test. I need a review course but I don't think they offer one.
The adult CNS exam as well as the Peds CNS exams both retiring and no longer available
Really? For every state? Why are they retiring it?
Never mind. I re-read your post. You are actually wanting info for AGCNS. I'm an adult and peds CNS.
Have you considered asking at your college for advice?
