Before 23 weeks and the chances of survival are basically zero. At 23 weeks, they are extremely low. At about 24 weeks you have about a fifty fifty chance of survival, but many of the survivors have long term health issues.
Personally I think anyone who tries to save a 23 weeker should be shot.

Well just shoot me then because my daughter was a 23 weeker and yes we did try and save her. And you know what, she's FINE!
Yes I am a NICU nurse and yes I've seen 23 weekers, 24 weekers, 25 weekers that looked like they didn't have a chance who not only survived but are thriving. I've seen the opposite.

I am wanting to know if a baby born to a mother with diabeties (spelling?) and only at five months into the pregnancy what are the chances of the baby being OK?
