hi everyone!
is a notarized photocopy of my passport the only needed requirement to complete my student visa application? i lodged my e-visa last july 1 and had my medical the next day. then my counsellor said that only a notarized copy of my passport is needed to complete my application. im bit wary about it.. thanks..

Im.not so sure.with student visas but when i applied for my visa 456 i sent my passport and they just returned it so i paid extra for the courier fee. They only needed a notarized copy of my passport

Yes. For e-visa, they don't need your passport, only a certified copy.

How do I provide proof of it if me and my girlfriend is not living in together, but we've been in a relationship for almost 2 years already. That would be a bit hard because you would really need to show proof that you lived together for 12months like joint.bank.accounts, bills, lease agreement, declaration from.friends and family and a lot.more paperwork..

hi kringkring. it really depends on the centre of excellence where your 457 was filed. perth is the fastest. sydney i think is the slowest. and my case officer didnt contact me until i received my visa grant last night. here's my timeline:
7/06/2013 Processing commenced.
7/06/2013 Application fee received.
10/06/2013 Application processed further.
17/06/2013 Application approved.

hi jo! for 457 you have to upload scanned original copies of passport, birth certificate, receipt of medicals, job offer letter, contract, college diploma, ahpra registration cert, i also showed evidence of BP completion, for ielts it has to be valid but im not sure if it has to be all 7 for 457 visa app. you can call the immi to ask that, nomination grant letter which should he forwarded to you by your employer and also evidence of health cover or insurance :)

Hello, anyone who has an idea re PERMANENT RESIDENCY processing,

can i apply for this while still on bridging or should i wait for my registration first post bp? and while PR is on process does it allow me to stay further in OZ until it is approved? Tnx

you would have to wait for your ahpra reg before you can apply and you have to pass the 60 points requirement. this includes at least 36 mos exp overseas thats for the independent skilled subclass 189. first step is to lodge an expression of interest and wait for immi to invite you to apply. i think you cant stay in au if its being process as your living rights would still be of your previous visa.

@aila61 tnx for replying, while PR is on process, i thought they will grant you a bridging visa for you to have the right to stay in OZ while waiting for PR approval? Or should I apply for a BRIDGING Extension visa before my "3 months visa" ( for ex subclass 600 or student visa ) expires?........ Another question is will they process your PR if you are offshore?
