Immigration Requirements for Australia and New Zealand

Hi everybody,
I just called DIAC awhile ago to follow up my visa application. Since my intake will commence really soon (May 13), I was told that a request by my medical officer was sent to Global Health that my case is urgent. Furthermore, the DIAC officer told me that Global Health is already assessing medical results sent on late February to March 26. So for those who are waiting for their visas to be released, let us all be patient and be optimistic. Prayers can move mountains. He will never leave us..

Pls let us know if your visa has a decision already, it will be a great help for others also.thanx!

Just want to share my timeline..
March 22 - 456 visa lodged
March 26 - received notice for medical exam per email
April 4 --- medical exam at nationwide (cebu)
April 22 -- visa approved (Praise God!)
April 23-- visa received via air 21 courier.
Hope you would receive your visas real soon too.

Feb 28 Application picked up by courier

March 5 456visa lodged

March 7 received notification to do my medical

March 18 Medical done at nationwide

April 1 decision letter

April 4 received my visa thru courier

Yes i already have mine 2 weeks after my medicals, I am asking all queries for a friend.

I am praying to all who are still waiting for their visa will have a decision all on your favor very soon.

Do you have any issues with your medicals?
Did you follow-up with the embassy?
My friend is still waiting for her visa and her documents being forwarded to global health australia for clearance is taking a slower pace than expected, I hope they will reconsider.
I am wishing and praying that all visa decision letter will arrive this week.

I received a message from Air21 and from the embassy that I will be receiving a passport/document few days from now but I don't know if my visa is approved. Actually I didn't receive any emails from the embassy that I have problems with my requirements nor the medical. Is my visa granted? I have to wait few days to receive my visa because I'm living very far from Manila.

Did you apply for a 456 visa also? I lodged my visa last March 16 and did my medical exams last March 26. My intake is on May 13 and I still don't have a visa right now. As what the embassy told me in their last email, my medical exams were forwarded to Global Health in Australia. Based on what I read on some threads, Global Health has 4 months backlog. They are still assessing December files. It's even more frustrating on my part because I now feel like I cannot attend the entire duration of my course if indeed, that 4 months backlog is true.

Yes I applied for 456! I received a message from the embassy that my document from Australian Embassy will be delivered today. However, I'm currently living in the opposite end of the Phil, I think I will be receiving my visa few days from now. hehe.

I received a message from Air21 and from the embassy that I will be receiving a passport/document few days from now but I don't know if my visa is approved. Actually I didn't receive any emails from the embassy that I have problems with my requirements nor the medical. Is my visa granted? I have to wait few days to receive my visa because I'm living very far from Manila.

May I ask when did you receive the message from Air21 and the embassy? Is it today? I'm trying to make a time frame because we are just a day apart from lodging the visa and doing the medical exam. I hope I'd get a message from Air21 and the embassy on Thursday.

Yes!!!! That's your visa already! I received mine through text with the same message as yours. Then air21 will text you the date on when you will receive the document you should be home by that.

Please post a message here so that all forumers will know. When was your medicals?

did you have any health declaration? because that's what made my medical results being forwarded to the GHA.. and yes the immi replied to me that GHA is still currently assessing DEcember 20 2012 visa applicants. my school's dealine for sumbission of visa will be on may10.its already killing my nerve even if my intake will be on may31 coz some of you guys' have earlier intake than mine and yet you are still waiting in vain.i am in doubt to ask the school to move my intake coz my ahpra will be expiring on oct,their next intake will be on july unless i'll take the intake in their other branch in diff location. i hope and pray that we'll have our visas the soonest possible (ths week).. God bless us..

Yes I did a lot of Health Declarations. That's why our visas weren't released right away. I think It's better to wait for the visa to be released. You still have 10 days to wait or you can ask the school for an extension for the submission of a copy your visa. They consider for an extension just like what I did.

When i received the txt message from the embassy that my document is ready for dispatch and to be delivered to me in a few days the following day i received a txt message again from air21 that my document will be delivered to me the same day, so I just stayed home because the applicant should be the one receiving the package.

I just received it today. I received a message from Air21 at 7:36am and the Embassy at 11:09am. Maybe you will receive it tomorrow. Take care!

I had my medical last MArch 25 at St. Luke's extension clinic and my results were updated on April 4. Can I already book a ticket even though I don't have yet the visa with me?
