Would like to ask for help from you guys. Under the subclass 600 Visitor Visa, for BP students, should we be applying under the business stream or tourist stream? Would there be any advantageous difference between the 2?

If you apply under the tourist stream, one of the restrictions of that visa is that you will not be able to undertake any study

thanks..

Hi fellow nurses!!! I am new to this blogspot, I have applied to AHPRA as Registered Division 1, and received the LOE last nov. '12, and applied to ACN for bridging programme, and received my last email stating "Your application is complete you will be notified when you are placed into a program", yesterday a representative told me to supply them a AFP Police check, do I need to provide a police check eve if Im still here in the Philippines? anyways, im from Iligan City, currently staying in CEBU city.

Hey guys, would like to ask. Would everyone applying for the visitor visa/a.k.a. 456 visa need an agency to process their visa? or could I just do this by myself and just apply through via center? I have called up global training center..apparently an agency for ETEA and acfe. I wanted to avail their assistance in applying for visa and wanted to ask how much would they charge me for their assistance. Anyway, we discussed some things and she said that she's shocked that lonsdale didn't give me an agency to go and consult with because it is needed so that i can get a guarantee of getting the visa.

Is this true? has anyone here applied for a visa by themselves only or all of the people who went to australia using the 456 visa had help with some sort of agency?

Please please reply anyone out there...i am almost finished with my document gathering for the visitor visa but now...i am hesitating if i should rather concentrate my efforts in looking for an agency.

Thank you so much!

Possibly because Lonsdale/Alpine do not want people ripped off, when everybody here know applying for a visa is a matter of filling out a form on the net, then taking directions from there.

Nearly everyone of these forums does it themselves, ACFE and ETEA are private providers, so helping out others in their business, if someone will pay is part of business. I'll scratch you back, if you scratch mine!!

Personally having a third wheel dealing with important stuff in my life and paying big money for it, would drive my crazy with the delays etc.

Give this a thought, all visitors to Australia, from the UK, USA, Canada and many other countries, would not even think of asking some agent to deal with their paperwork for a visa to another country, when they could do themselves. Money is precious and you need it for the trip itself.

...and it is on the immi website somewhere,....those that use an agent to apply for visa's are no more successful in getting them than those that apply for themselves.

Thank you so much for your insight Ceridwyn. When you are isolated and doing it all alone, asking people through forums for advises, at times, one could easily doubt if this is the right path.

Anyway, thanks. You have a point and have encouraged me to continue with what I have been doing. ;-)

Ikokos philippines and idp do not charge a thing. They can help u with visa processing. They can also help you which school is the best for you.

These agencies are directly hired by the school to provide assistance to their future students so the school pays them. However I agree that you should always be the one in control of your documents and not some third party. I believe that these consultancy agencies here are just ripping ppl of their money. U can process your own papers.

Help anyone! Would like to seek your advice on answering this part of the Visitor Visa Application form! Maybe I'm just over thinking...

#2. Do you intend to enter Australia on more than one occasion?

() No

() Yes - Give Details

= What should be the answer for this? We need Multiple Entry Visa....but it is the Embassy's discretion whether to give you multiple or single. If I answer yes, what kind of detail shall I state?

PART C # 17 Describe your intended principal business visitor activity in Australia.

=How did you describe? you just stated that you'll be going to study the bridging program for ____ weeks (theoretical) and ____ weeks for clinical?

# 20 Give details of how you will maintain yourself financially while you are in Australia

= I will be financially maintained with the funds from my personal bank account worth ____ and will also be supported by my brother and grandfather.

# 23 Do you intend to enter a hospital or a health care facility (including nursing homes) while in Australia?

() No

() Yes - Give details

=the answer here is yes right? I mean, we will indeed enter a hospital or a health care facility while in Australia due to exposure depending on the clinical placements.

#24 Do you intend to work as, or study to be a , a doctor, dentist, nurse or paramedic during your stay in Australia?

()No

()Yes - give details

= the answer is yes right? We will study to be a registered nurse during our stay in Australia right? Or this is a no since we will just do a bridging program?

Please correct me if I am wrong. I just want to double check. I am applying for the visa by myself and has no one to ask.

Thanks so much!

Hi, the answer to #2 is YES. You need to go back to follow up your registration with AHPRA. For #17, that is correct, you intend to enter Australia for your IRON Program. #20: e.g. "I have my personal funds as well as the financial support from my brother and grandfather, as conveyed in their Affidavit/s." For #23, I answered No. My understanding of the question is that "enter" would connote employment. I answered Yes to #24, as my intention is to undertake the program to be a registered nurse..

Number 23, would be Yes, as well, would it not? you are going to enter, it does not say obtain work! It would be strange if your reason to enter Australia is to study to become an RN in Australia but not enter a nursing home or hospital. iMHO

yes, we may have different interpretations when filling up forms. tho that's what i answered and i have obtained my visa already.
