Immigration petition filed, how long is the waiting time now?

Published

Well, since I passed Nclex I had to fill out alot of paperwork and send to my employer in US and they are now preparing the petition to send to US Immigration (I guess in VT since my employer is based in Maryland). The application form for Visa Screen Certificate will also be sent one of these days to ICHP.

I am scheduled for the IELTS test next week.

Does anyone know what the process will be now, and how long it all will take until I get an appointment in the US Consulate in Sweden(final step)??

Sincerely Anna

You can figure on about four months before you receive the VSC.

Fastest time that I have seen for a green card to be in hand from the start of the procedure is about six months, but they had the VSC in hand before beginning the process. You can expect at least one year or so. If you get it earlier, consider it a blessing. Just look at some previous threads here. Do not rely on what the hospital or agency is promising you as far as times, if they say much sooner.
