This is the same CNA I was talking about last Nov. She knows vital signs are due by 12 midnight. She has been working at this facility for 5 years. All the other CNA's always turn in the vital signs by 12 midnight. She's making the other nurse miserable. Why should the nurse have to remind her about vital signs? Why should the nurse have to go and "beg" to get vital signs? Yes I will talk to the other nurse before I write this CNA up. However, I'm afraid the nurse will tell me don't do it. Then eventually this nurse will give a 2 week notice because she doesn't want to deal with the frustration of dealing with this CNA.

Hi friends
I told the CNA that vital signs are to be done by midnight every night. I had her sign a paper last Nov. in an inservice. She always does them by midnight when she works with me. I just learned a few days ago that she is only doing them for me and not the other nurse.! I am furious! I'm going to write her up for not doing the vital signs for the other nurse because the other nurse seems to be afraid of her. It is not the nurses job to go and remind the CNA that vital signs are due. It's not the nurses job to have to go and "beg" for vital signs. :angryfire I'm not going to let this CNA drive away this other nurse. My nurse friend is an RN and is one of the nicest and greatest nurses I have ever worked with. I work in LTC and good nurses are hard to find.
