Im taking my HESI entrance test SOON!

Published

Hey y'all!

So I have my HESI entrance test coming up!

I am actually pretty nervous about it only because when it comes to big tests like this I FREAK out!

I purchased the HESI Admissions Assessment Exam Review from the actual HESI website.

Before I start putting my nose in it I wanted opinions.

For my nursing program they are only testing on sections:

Math

Anatomy and Physiology

Basic Chemistry

Reading Comp

Grammar

Vocab

I have taken A&P I and II and passed them both. So I am not extremely worried about the A&P section. As far as the other topics...I have my worries. I have not had a Chemistry class since i was in high school (4 years ago) so this one is worrying me the most.

Any advice to help me? ALL and any are appreciated!

Chemistry is my weakness. What helped me was KhanAcademy. Check it out!

Specializes in CNA.

If you would like too, invest in the McGraw's 3Evolve Hesi A2 Practice tests. They're 3 Hesi exams that will help :)

I made a 92.4 overall but i didnt have to take chemistry.

Math 98

Grammer and Vocab 92

English 84

A&P 96

For math know your conversions and Fractions. A&P is basic but one or two things might be detailed. Study some basic medical terminology in addition to the vocab words but learn them :)

Thank you so much! i have the book and i take my test this Friday! i am going to cram as much in as i can before my test.

Everyone said, "STUDY CHEM!!!" and I'm glad I did. I thought I bombed the entire section but magically got a 96. I think the Elseiver study guide did a good enough job with the basics that were on the exam.

I did all the tests in the McGraw book and didn't find it very useful at all. It seemed to have a larger scope than was in the actual exam. I scored all 60s on those practice tests but did a 96 on the actual chem portion. It seemed more in depth than the actual exam.
