As you may know. I am the mother of 5 wonderful teenage boys. What you may not know is only 2 of them are naturally mine.
Today is a big day.
I am happy but very very sad.
2 of my boys are going home to live with their natural father today. I am very happy for them but so very very sad. I thought over the years that I had carefully prepared myself for today, guess not.
I always knew this day would come. That I was just a steping stone until Dad could get it together.
My hat goes of to all foster parents (Iam not a foster parent) just an Aunt.
Thanks for letting me vent

A heartfelt second to this message for it deserves to be repeated. I couldn't have written it better. (Thanks Erin for letting me borrow your thoughts to express to sixes). :)
((((((sixes)))))) What a blessing you truly are. :kiss :balloons:

The boys are who they are, in part, because of you. You showed them what unconditional love and acceptance is about -- lessons they will carry with them throughout their lives. It's a bittersweet moment for all -- but you have been there for them when their dad was unable to. I'm hoping that social services will follow closely to help them transition back to their lives with their "natural" father. Keep in contact with them and let them know that you are there for them 24/7. What a wonderful person you are -- how rich all your lives must be -- you truly have a home filled with love.
