Relocating to FL - Tampa Bay Area- in May. I am a RN with 2 yrs med/surg and pediatric experience. I would love to find a position as a home health nurse or staff nurse on a surgical or pediatric floor. Anyone with info please dont hesitate to post or email me at [email protected]. My resume is readily available to anyone interested in this posting.

HI, I'm relocating to the Sarasota area in April of 2004 from Wisconsin!
I have 1 year experience as a NICU RN and searching for jobs too. I don't know what specialty yet though. I kinda want to get out of NICU nursing. It's hard looking for jobs out of state (without touring the hospitals and companies), don't you think? Thank god for the internet! I came across Bayada Nurses a home health agency that looks pretty nice to work for.
Where you from and what brings you to Tampa?
let me know how the move and job hunting goes,

There are not that many NICU/PICU/peds positions in Florida.
Your best bets are med surg, cardiac, tele, icu, and LTC.
The pay rates are among the lowest in the country, but there is no state income tax.
Apply for your license early - it can take monthes to get it.

I hear good things about Sarasota Memorial, in that they pay well, have good ratios and have an excellent budget with the latest gadgets. Sarasota is a bit wealthier area than Tampa Bay.
