So, I finally did some research and have decided to apply to Excelsior College today. I'm so excited, I just can't wait to fininsh. The pre reqs should be easy as I've just taken them all at ITT Tech school of non transferable. Due to child care issues, I have to start over but at least I know what to expect in the pre req dept. One thing that concerns me is money. Has anyone used scholarships to fund the exam only portion? I don't know the best way to be successful in this program so I'm open to all feedback, help, and support. The goal is to be finished with pre reqs in less than a year and finish the nursing portion by the end of next year. what do yall think? I'm on IG at TWALLAH.... looking for motivation. p.s -i'm new to allnurses too!

Do you live in Virginia? If so, are you aware of the extra requirements before you can be licensed?
I used a scholarship from an external source (my hospital's Ladies Board) for a big chunk of the exams. What kind of scholarship are you talking about?
Yes I do live in Virginia. I know there are tons of scholarships out there, I don't care who they come from, I will take what ever I can get. I will be googling a lot! I think the requirement is 250 hours as provisional until I'm am full on free and clear.

Can't use federal aid for exams...
We know you can't use federal aid on exams, that's why we were talking about scholarships...not grant money.
