I just got the call. Contingent upon my references, I'll officially be an ER nurse on 8/2. I'm so excited!! I'm starting at a 200 bed community hospital on the 9p-9a shift. They're putting me through a critical care course and I'll spend time in the ICU to enhance the critical care piece. I can't wait!!
Congratulations and best wishes. Try to use every single slice of the critical care course materials and use the advantage of your presence in the ICU. It's not going to be easy but it's not impossible, be patient. Good luck and let's hear from you not soon ofcourse but let's say after 3-6 months
