I'm in Florida but I'm thinking of taking another state's board.

Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

I heard (and I'm scared to know) that Florida has one of the hardest RN state boards. Is this true? I was almost finalizing my ATT when this thought came into my head. And so my deadline has been pushed back because now I have to research which state boards I want to take, how their scoring is and if they need more documents (i.e., transcripts). My review teacher suggested Mississippi, Georgia, and North/South Carolina. My friend told me Maryland state boards gives partial credit for Select all that apply (SATA) questions...

Do you any of you have any state suggestions or just feedback of what you think of this?

Georgia's nursing programs' pass rates for NCLEX are public record and readily available. I am sure that is the same for all nursing schools everywhere. I would suggest taking that into account when applying to nursing school. If your school falls into a category where it is lower than you think it should be (or lower than you think will allow you to be successful when taking the exam), then you know you will have to pick up the slack to learn information on your own to pass the test regardless of where you take it.

the main office of pearson vue is in Minnesota. I just know this because when I took my NCLEX in Alabama Pearson Vue but my BON is in Florida, and the power went out ofcourse the computers and the test that we were doing disappeared too. but they just called the Minnesota office and asked them to bring back to the test item that we've stopped to, came back as it suppose to be..

all i'm saying here is if other state has different main office/s for Pearson Vue test centers for nclex, there's a probability that the test plan in state to another state has different test plans.
