I'm Done With 1st Semester!

Yay! 1st semester of pre-reqs in the books....

my gpa 4.0...but these classes were really basic!

psychology

sociology

statistics

(10 credit hours)

Was a little upset about my credit hours but the class I needed was filled :/

oh well!

next semester should be fun!

microbiology + lab

academic writing

food & nutrition

computer science

lifespan development psychology!

(16 credit hours!)

Any tips for my next semester courses?

Good job! I wish I had straight A's! I had 16 hours this semester!

Health and Wellness- A

Physical Science- B

Psychology- B

US History I- B+

Statistics- A

Next semester I have A&P I + lab, Speech, US History II, and 2 of 3 of either Intro to Music, Theater Appreciation, or Philosophy.

When do you plan on applying for your nursing program?

how was it taking psychology and sociology together?

Oh you know I thought it was going to be difficult as well however for me I found it actually pretty helpful! You begin to be able to think within the courses!

Some of the concepts you learn in sociology will be in psychology and vice versa so it's nice to have a reminder every now and then. If there was anything particularly difficult it was simply the reading - but your professor may not make you read as much as mine did LOL

All in all, take your time and master one topic at a time!

Did you have to take biology 1 and 2 before microbiology? I want to take microbiology next semester but my school is saying I have to take biology 1 and 2 before micro. Which sucks because biology is not a requirement for the nursing school I'm applying to.

No I did not have to take biology 1 or 2 before...but if it makes you feel any better...I have to take a super easy biology course before my anatomy and physiology 1&2 which as sciences bio and ap are barely even related lol

I plan on applying for fall 2014 because I'm doing an ADN program so by the beginning/middle of summer I'll have all my prerequisites done for BSN - which I'll be going into RIGHT AWAY lol

You did great your first semester. I wish I would have got a 4.0 my first semester-I definitely dropped the ball. Lol. Good job, keep up the good work!
