CLUTCH PLAYER!! Two weeks ago I was despondent over the fact that I couldn't do a Gram Stain in Micro no matter how hard I tried. Monday night we learned about our surprise 3-part lab mid-term and the integral first step of it was - you guessed it - gram staining. So yesterday I dutifully researched the method, studied online tips, then went into that lab like I was headed to the gallows.

Dang that Gram-positive result was a thing of beauty! :monkeydance: Nice and purple with the bit of pink to be expected with a 48-hr incubation. Breezed through the rest of the tests and called it a night.

I have no idea how I'll do on the lab midterm and right now I don't really care - all that mattered was getting over that paralysis of confidence I was suffocating under.

Great that you are getting the hang of it....it takes time and practice. You will be fine.
