nursing(RN or BSN) school in IL that has a high acceptance rate

U.S.A. Illinois

I know nursing is competitive, but I was just wondering is there any college out there whether it be a community or university that admits a lot of students into a RN or BSN program?

Most private schools are easier to get into & have minimal requirements because you have to find the money to pay for them. The City Colleges of Chicago often have long wait lists in addition to relatively easy requirements. To get into a nursing program, you'll either have to spend lots of money, or sit on a waiting list after all requirements are met. There is a private school in Hammond,IN. called Indiana Dabney University. It's a 15 month RN program, no pre-reqs that costs $32,000.00 last time I checked. Surely, the tuition has increased since then. Hammond is approximately 30 minutes east of Chicago. Good luck with your search. Please keep us updated on your progress, OP.

Just to clarify, there is absolutely no waitlist at any of the city colleges of Chicago.:twocents: None of the RN programs at any of the city colleges of Chicago have a wait list. If you do not get in, you have to reapply the next year. They do not keep your application. I decided that I wanted to be a nurse, took all the pre-reqs and applied. I found out I got in a couple months later. Im just trying to help the original poster and make sure that they have the correct information. In addition, the school that I attend accepts 180 students each fall.
