Any College of DuPage students out there?

Hello~

I originally applied in 2004 and was one of over 1000 applicants! I got real close on the waiting list but, it never panned out. I took some time off, had another baby and am now ready to go!

Just curious if there are still that insane amount of applicants at COD? Any advice? I have my BA and only have 3 more pre-reqs to take; Psych 237 Life Span, Nutrition and Micro. I've taken my CNA and was able to get a permit and take Nursing 100 in the summer of 04.

Any advice, insight or thoughts would be welcome! How hard is the HESI exam? Any prep that I can start doing now for Fall 08? Also, have they done any more pilot programs? I heard that they were starting some students in January?

Thanks!

I have had many people tell me about him (Anthony Limato). I considered trying to get into his class, but the times weren't convenient for me.

My biggest problem with A&P is narrowing down what I need to study. I have access to so much info - the book, the study, teachers outlines, websites, software (she gave us). I know that her outlines are the "map" that we need to use, I just always seem to get off course regardless.

I just finished lifespan. I took it independently. I did take a class online before. It was chemistry of all things. I had a tutor and I got an A. It was definitely easier being an online course, no doubt. Plus, no lab was great!

Carla14296- Yes there was a Jan pilot program. I missed getting in by three people. As for the 2008 program I already have submitted my application for the 2007 program. They are going to send out letters in March. This is my second time that I almost got in. To tell you the truth I'm tire of waiting for COD to accept me. I have put my application in other schools this time. Don't get me wrong COD is a great school but I'm tire of waiting on them. Do you know that they are the only school up to this year that only had one program start time. You would think that they would have thought of doing something like the Jan pilot along time ago with the amount of application they receive in a year. The way I feel is if I get in this time great but I'm not holding my breath any more I'm moving on to another school. All I have left to take for my ADN is the nursing classes. I've already taken Nursing 100 and it's my understanding if I do get accepted this time I will have to retake that class since they changed it since 2004 when I last took that class.

Hello,

That would be great if they have a problem that starts in Jan that means they will be taking more nursing students per year. I may just apply for cod and other private adn programs in case I don't get in. I just look at the review for the HESI test at the school and book and it did have a section to study for Chemistry, AP I and II, and Biology so is it or is it not a part of the test?
