Has anyone who interviewed for the 2015 summer cohort RN Residency at Illinois Masonic heard back yet?? So anxious over here... The wait has been forever.
Hey all,
I'm looking to apply for summer 2016... website says application should've gone up yesterday. I want my references to have adequate time to prepare reference letters if they are necessary, but there isn't a checklist posted.
Do they require recommendation letters? Or simply the personal reference form?
Hello! I'm in the application process for the March 2018 Illinois Masonic Nurse Residency program. The deadline is November 20, 2017.
My question is how do you know they have everything for your application. Like the link to send to your references, how will we know they received everything prior to the application deadline?
Also, can anyone share what the pay is like while in the program? Shift differentials, base pay, etc?
Looking to just get some general information about this residency. I am looking to apply for the October 2018 start date. I was reading about it on the website and saw that it says "This program does not take the place of hospital or unit orientation, but instead focuses on leadership, quality outcomes and the professional role of the nurse." so does this mean you are not actually working as a nurse on the floor? that was a little confusing to me. Thank you to anyone who can give any information/advice regarding applying, interviewing, and what you are actually doing during this year of 'residency'.
THANK YOU!!
Hi there! I am graduating with my BSN in May 2020 and I am looking to apply for the new grad rn/nurse residency at Illinois Masonic. Can anyone help me with tips for the application process? There is no deadline online that I can find. Also, do I just apply for registered nurse positions and then if I get them I will be enrolled or is there a complete separate application for the residency program? Any helpful tips would ba awesome! Thank you so much!
Hello, I also graduate this upcoming May. I’m searching for more information about our role during the program, as well as salary outlook compare to a regular staff nurse. While getting more experience is important I also need to make a living haha. Also, does anyone know if the recommendations were letters or if they are sent a link?
thank you lots!

Manwer1- I was told in my offer which unit I would be on (medsurg/tele float). I imagine they will tell you before your start date, or else I would ask them because there are several medsurg units.
Good luck studying for the nclex!
