I got my senior preceptorship in the NICU I wanted!!! :balloons: :balloons: :balloons:

This is the NICU I want to work in after grad in May. So I'm looking at this like a nine-week, three hundred hour job interview. No pressure or anything. :uhoh3:

I've got my copy of Klaus & Fanaroff to read over spring break (I guarantee I will be the only girl in Palm Beach studying!), but I haven't been able to get Merenstein. Is the Fanaroff okay? Is there anything else I need? I got the neofax too. Don't need a neo steth, each babe has his/her own.

SO EXCITED!!!!!:balloons:

Dude. It's so good. I got switched to days, which I'm not super thrilled about, but still. I had my first day on yesterday, and my preceptor ROCKS and I'm so in love with the work. I didn't do a single thing yesterday that I didn't enjoy. Okay, changing diapers, but I'll take a few poopy diapers in exchange for all the goodness. Sigh.

Hey that's awesome!!

This time last year I was doing my preceptorship in the NICU, I loved every minute of it!! I actually cried on my last day because I was so sad to have to leave and I knew I'd miss everyone so much. I loved it there, the nurses were so awesome, took me in and taught me so much. I had a great preceptor too. I wrote a journal about it here somewhere.

How has it been going for you? I'm interested to hear about it!
