If you could study before A & P I, what would you have done to get ahead before it??

What would have helped most?

I am not taking it till next fall. It will be my last pre req before nursing school. And it counts for a lot! 25% of the total score for nursing school.

Cliffs notes for A and P. It's a big book and it kind of tells you what will be covered in each topic your professor will teach. I used it for review and the quizzes. It's not at all comprehensive but nice for quick reference while studying.

I'd say to get a "quick review" chart of each of the body's main systems and at least learn the names and/or functions of it's main components. You know, like learning the names and locations of the muscles. On the cardiovascular system, my class had to write out the path of blood. We had to name the chambers of the heart and the valves within it in order of blood travel, and then name the different vessels it went through to get to the different organs those vessels supplied blood to: through the heart, to the lungs, back through the heart, to the feet and back to the heart through the various veins. Naming all of the vessels as it went along and knowing which vessels supplied which organs. Tedious, I know. Most college bookstores carry those "quick review" charts of the different body systems. They're usually laminated and have 3-ring binder holes in them for your notebook. Not too cheap, though. Usually $3-$5 per body system chart. Very useful, though, to be able to look over. :typing
