Hi. I'm from the Philippines. I took d IELTS last month. I got 8.5 for reading and 6.5 for listening, writing, and speaking. Is it enough to qualify for a visa screen? I wish to work in California. Thanks.

You need to meet the Texas BON requirements for foreign-trained nurses, and if you haven't had a license issued by CA, then complete the license by exam and arrange with CA to forward results to Texas.
I suggest you take the time to read the forum, as many questions about Texas have been asked and answered.
Texas requirements as a foreign nurse have been posted several times in this forum, and using Texas as the keyword in the search should pull them up.
Regarding just living in Texas, you can find the Texas state forum under the region tab above.
Questions regarding the license as a foreign-trained nurse and the application process should be posted in this forum.

A requirement for a visa screen certificate is NCLEX or CGFNS exam, so if you haven't gotten either of them, I wouldn't recommend you start VSC because IELTS needs to be valid when you send in NCLEX or CGFNS CP results. Plus, with degeneration, you may find it quicker to get sorted language-wise for Australia, expect many years of waiting for the US, and you will more than likely have to renew your VSC, and IELTS will need doing again.
